The Department of Public Health Sciences will participate in the 2017 European Public Health Conference

In November this year, the 10th European Public Health Conference will be held in Stockholm. More than 1,500 experts in public health are expected to participate. From the department, several researchers and research students have already registered.

Lucie Laflamme"As the conference this year is in Stockholm, it provides the department as a whole with a unique occasion to highlight its high quality work in research and education. We prepare for this event with great excitement", says Lucie Laflamme, Head of the Department of Public Health Sciences and Professor of injury epidemiology and prevention.

During the conference, researchers and research students from the Department of Public Health Sciences will have oral presentations or posters, moderate sessions, and take part in workshops.

"The EPH conference is a very good opportunity for researchers in the fields of global health and public health sciences to present their work, to learn from the work of authors, and to network", explains Lucie Laflamme.

Together with Stockholm City Council, the Department of Public Health Sciences is part of the local organising committee for the conference, as well as participating in organising the pre-conferences. Master students from the department will also engage as volunteers.
