On 25 September, Karolinska Institutet´s (KI) Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society (NVS) arranged an internal seminar on the associate professor application process at NVS and KI. The turn-up bared vittnes of a great interest of these matters, with some 40 participants.

In the seminar, Professor Jan Ygge, Chairman of the Docent Committee at KI, Maria Lindskog, recently appointed as an Associate Professor at NVS, and Professor and Head of the Department Maria Eriksdotter, shared their knowledge and experiences on the subject.

"The application process is extensive, and at NVS we have been working hard to improve it. The rules and requirements for the various tracks within the associate professorships at KI are also important to know of, says Maria Eriksdotter.

Among the participants one could find co-workers interested in applying for an associate professorship, and executives at the NVS divisions.
