Temporary camping on campus

[NEWS 2012-09-04] Due to the acute shortage of accommodation for new students, the Medicinska Föreningen student union has arranged for students to camp at Karolinska Institutet´s campus in Solna.

The first tents were erected on Monday 3 September. Officials will be present around the clock.

"It´s far too hard for students to find accommodation in Stockholm. This has been the case for many years, but now things are worse than ever. The university and Stockholms politicians need to work together to find a long-term solution to the student accommodation issue so that the Stockholm region can continue to attract students in the future. And I hope that the situation is resolved quickly for those students who are camping here on campus."
