Telia to continue as telephony supplier
During spring and summer, a new procurement of the telephony service was carried out. Telia will continue to deliver telephone services to KI as we enter into a new agreement on 1 February 2023.
New functions
We will get some new features in conjunction with the new agreement. Among other things, you can reach a so-called Softphone on your computer, which means that it is possible to call in/out from your extension directly via the computer. There will also be new data levels, where the new standard and minimum level will be 10 GB per user.
Stand-alone subscriptions will be discontinued on 1 February 2023
MEX is the standard subscription model to KI and all standalone subscriptions will be terminated.
All telephony administrators must therefore transfer all stand-alone subscriptions to MEX well ahead of 1 February 2023.
This also applies to employees who currently have a fixed IP phone and stand-alone subscriptions. They will also need to be transferred to MEX.
Steps to make before the change
Create a helpdesk ticket at the Selfservice portal if you are unsure whether your institution has any stand-alone subscriptions. Some of the telephony managers have previously received lists where this information is available. If you have not received this list, create a ticket and we will send one.
If you currently have stand-alone subscriptions that are used in machines or other equipment, these can be replaced with SIM cards for mobile broadband. Contact us at the IT Office and we will assist you with this.
