Staffan Holmin at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet, is awarded the Prize for Innovation and Utilization, 2022.
The prize recognizes one or more researchers/research students who have distinguished themselves through outstanding utilization of research results that have led to innovation.

The committee for research appoints prize winner/s on the basis of proposals from a prize committee.
The prize committee's motivation:
“Staffan Holmin has identified several clinical needs, developed strategies for taking biopsies and delivering substances extravascularly, and taken his findings to innovations and utilization. He has spread his experience and knowledge to professionals in academia and companies, and is a great inspiration for both students, colleagues, and international partners. His ability to be bridge between Karolinska Institutet, the clinic, start-ups and industry is somewhat unique and shows a high ambition for innovation and collaboration. This makes him a well-deserved recipient of the Prize for Innovation and Utilization.”
The winner is celebrated at Karolinska Institutet´s installation ceremony/inauguration of professors, which is held in Aula Medica in October.
