In 2023, the Strategic Research Area in Health Care Science (SFO-V) launched an initiative aimed at future researchers in health care science through an open call for funding for postdoctoral positions. The aim of the initiative, SFO-V Fellows, is to promote high-quality health care science research and to ensure the regrowth of researchers in the field.

During the autumn 2023, the selected junior researchers began their positions as SFO-V Fellows and postdoctoral researchers. The initiative includes two years of funding for research within the SFO-V's core research areas, as well as a development and leadership program. As part of the role as SFO-Fellow, there is a responsibility to work on promoting and developing the SFO-V.

Important initiative

- We are pleased to once again present this initiative for researchers early in their careers, providing them with the opportunity to focus on their research within the SFO-V's core research areas. The projects that have been granted are interdisciplinary and span across various disciplines and professions, which is very exciting. It is important to be able to offer promising researchers an inspiring environment with good resources early in their academic career, especially in the field of health care sciences, says Ing-Mari Dohrn, Associate Professor and Board member SFO-V.
