Peter Andréasson new director of communications
Peter Andréasson, press relations manager at Karolinska Institutet for the past four years, has been made KI’s new director of communications. He will formally take up office on 1 November, until which time he will serve as the pro-term director of communications.
He is replacing Anna Maria Böök, who has transferred to a corresponding position with the Public Health Agency of Sweden.
“Peter has solid knowledge of KI, many years’ managerial experience and has been deputy and pro-term director of communications here before,“ says deputy University Director Gunnar Gustafsson Wiss. “I’m very glad that we can now appoint him permanent head of the Communications and Public Relations Office.”
Peter Andréasson studied journalism and political science and has been manager of different sections of the National Board of Health and Welfare. He joined KI from the Public Health Agency of Sweden, where his areas of responsibility included national reporting and government commissions in the public health and disease control.
”For a university like KI, it is extremely important to have well-functioning internal and external communication. Recently, KI has taken significant steps towards becoming an increasingly active communicative organisation. Based on my new assignment - and together with KI's employees and students - I hope to contribute further to that development”, says Peter Andréasson.
