Emails from IDAC about access permissions - what to do
Many users have received emails informing them that their permissions are ending and asking them to reapply. This section describes what you need to do to keep your permission and how you, as a resource owner, approve permission requests.
If you have received an email and need extended access
Access to Self reporter (Beställare)
This concerns access as a purchaser to Wisum. If you have received this email, you need to extend your existing access by using the "Extend access" service via IDAC.
If access is unavailable under "Extend Access," you must reapply using the "Request Access" service.
Follow the steps in this video guide - note that the resources selected in the video is fictitious and you need to choose the one called "Self reporter":
Access to project folders
The video below shows how to apply for access to a folder in IDAC by requesting access.
It is the same procedure to add access to Wisum's "Self reporter":
If you are a resource owner and need to re-approve access
The video below shows how to approve in IDAC the authorisation requests received for each folder:
If you, as a resource owner, request access to a Project folder for which you are responsible, the request will be approved automatically.
FAQ
Why has this email been sent?
Anyone who has manually applied and been granted permission to a P-folder, system or security group has now received an email from IDAC stating that access will expire on 15 April 2025. IDAC sends out an automated email 10 days before access expires, which was Saturday, 5 April.
Does this have anything to do with the recent upgrade of IDAC?
This has nothing to do with the IDAC upgrade.
The permissions that expire on 15 April 2025 mainly concern project folders. All permissions to the project folders expire on 15 April 2025 because all project folders were "moved into" IDAC on the same date.
This does not affect employment, affiliation, access cards, or the status of the employee's user account in any way.
Will similar emails be sent again?
Yes, when a permission's validity period approaches its end date, IDAC sends an automated email 10 days before that end date.
As a resource owner, why can't I hand out permissions to those I want?
At present, managers can request permissions for their employees. This does not mean the permissions will be automatically approved if multiple approval steps and approvers exist. Still, if you, as a manager, are the only approver for the requested resource, it will be automatically approved.
