Coordinated IT: Access to MEB's system and IT environment from a Karyon client

The project group for Coordinated IT now informs us about how we will be able to access MEB's system and IT-environment from a Karyon client in the future.

The ambition is to have a user experience very much as it is today. The difference will be that your logon, to the computer, will be with your KI-USER identify (the one you now use to access all KI central systems). The following guidelines apply depending on your starting point:

On Campus

There will be very little difference from today. If the system is a Single Sign On (SSO) you will automatically be logged in. This can be done as KI's and MEB's Active Directories of users (ADs) are linked together. If your current routine is to log on with a separate log in dialogue, you will keep doing so, using the same username and password as today. There might be some slight changes of more cosmetic nature such as confirming a pop-up dialogue to proceed. To access MEB's systems you need to be connected via a cable.

Remote

The procedure will be exactly the same as today. Your way in will be via MEB's VDI just as today with the same username and password. It is also worth noticing that you will also be able to access KI's central systems via VPN, which today is not possible from a MEB computer.
