Blasting for the new yellow metro line - report vibration and sensitive equipment in Biomedicum
Blasting for new metro tracks and entrances started in the beginning of 2020 and the construction of the new yellow metro line is expected to take six to seven years to finalize.
At some point the construction will be in the vicinity of Biomedicum and Solnavägen, and thus may affect instruments that are sensitive to vibrations in the building.
Between March-May 2019, Stockholm County made an inventory of instruments in Biomedicum that are sensitive to vibrations, however, new instruments may have been purchased since then and research groups that have recently moved in may have some new equipment which is sensitive to vibrations and has not yet been reported.
Make sure to contact FM Helpdesk if new instruments in Biomedicum need to be included in the inventory to ensure that all necessary measures are taken to protect them once the construction works starts.
