Above-ground blasting next to the Nobel Forum will begin from November 10
On Thursday, November 10, the work with the "New subway yellow line" will start above-ground blasting inside the work area on Solnavägen. The blasts will continue until February 2023.
As the Nobel Forum is within the safety zone of 50 meters, this means that if you appear in the Nobel Forum premises as a visitor in connection with an explosion above ground, you need to move to the designated meeting place immediately after the entrance, (see picture) to ensure that you do not stand in close proximity to a window facing the work area (marked in red in the image).
This applies to both floors of the house. Alternatively, it is also ok to leave the house temporarily, there will then be a flag guard at the area outside the entrance to ensure that no one is inside the security area.
The explosions above ground can take place at 09:00, 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00 and 19:00. In order to receive information 30 minutes before a blast is to be carried out, we recommend everyone who regularly stays in the area to sign up for our SMS service via our website: nyatunnelbanan.se/sv/sms/
It is important then to enter an address in the area and click in the box for "Explosion warnings". Before each explosion, a warning signal is heard, several short signals, and when it is safe to return to normal, a long signal is heard.
We have tried to coordinate as much as possible with the Nobel Chancellery on site, that blasting work should not be carried out with already booked lectures. But as others also can stay in the premises continuously outside these specific times, we try to reach out with this information so that any visitors are aware of what applies to the premises.
We have also set up notices inside the Nobel Forum with the information in both Swedish and English, see attachments, as well as separate notices that refer to the meeting place.
