KI’s new vice-chancellor participates in Stockholm’s Pride Parade on Saturday, 5 August.

Stockholm Pride is the largest Pride Festival in Scandinavia and Karolinska Institutet has participated in different ways since 2013. Next Saturday about 100 of KI’s staff and students join the parade as part of KI’s long-term work for equal rights.

“Karolinska Institutet works for an equal working and study environment and equal conditions for all. By joining the parade, I want to actively show my support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people as well as all people's right to be themselves and to love who they want. In addition, it is a great opportunity to get to know KI's employees and students", says Ole Petter Ottersen, Karolinska Institutet's vice-chancellor, who will take office on 1 August.

Karolinska Institutet participates in the Pride Parade in collaboration with Medicinska Föreningen’s HBTQ section Queerolinska. Together we welcome all students and staff to come and take part in the Pride Parade, starting from Kungsholmstorg on Saturday, 5 August at 1 PM.
