On 16 May 2024 (morning), the quarterly test and maintenance of the fire detection and alarm system in Neo will take place.

We will take this opportunity to have an evacuation drill.

The part of the spiral staircase, on the Hälsovägs side, which today connects floor 4 with floor 5 in the NEO building will be from Monday 2024-03-11 to be permanently closed. This is because the NEO house has had problems with unauthorized persons entering the building via the entrance on floor 4 (from Hälsovägen) and further up to the upper floors.

In the afternoon on the following dates the evacuation alarm will be tested, whole or in part.

Due to necessary work on the water in Neo, requiring a complete water shut-off (including safety features such as eye showers and emergency showers), lab work cannot safely be performed on Saturday, November 12th. Further, there will be tests on the fire/evacuation alarm during the same day, so you are recommended not to be in Neo this day.

Please plan your work accordingly!

The treatment of the floors in the kitchen in Neo will start Friday afternoon July 8th and continue all weekend to July 10th.

Do NOT walk on the surfaces during this treatment!

On May 17th, 2022, the evacuation alarm in Neo will sound with full sirens/alarms - please save the date and make sure you can participate in this potentially life-saving exercise!

During the weekend 14th to 15th of May there will be ventilation work and a power shutdown in Neo. It is recommended that no lab work should be done during the weekend and computer and equipment sensitive to electrical disturbances should if possible be turned off.

On February 15th there will be work done on the sprinkler system and on February 17th there will be work done on the fire alarm system and there will therefore be an increased risk of false alarms in Neo.

On Monday, 2021-11-29, the deionized water will be shut off in parts of Neo.

Starting early in the morning (~6:00), deionized water will be off in sections 81xx, 83xx (the half towards 81xx), 75xx, 73xx (the half towards 75xx). This means northern half of 8th floor and southern half of 7th floor.

Hopefully it will be back on in the middle of the day, but it may take until the afternoon.

Regular tap water, cooling etc are NOT affected.

On 2021-11-11 we are planning an evacuation drill in Neo, around 13:30 (1:30 PM).
While there are still discussions regarding the details, please save the date and plan your work accordingly.

On June 4th around 11:40 and 12:00 there will be a student graduation in Neo. Please avoid the entrance and the area between Neo and TAH at this time.

During the night between June 1st and 2nd, there will be a power shutdown in Neo. *** Please note that contrary to normal expectations, it is the power outlets that provide BACKUP power that will be UNPOWERED. ***

This weekend (May 21st - 23rd) there will be work done of the floor in the Neo lunchroom. Starting on Friday with removing furniture to prepare, but you can still enter and use the fridges, freezers and microwaves, as long as you are mindful of any indications that portions of the lunchroom is off limits.

During Saturday and Sunday the lunchroom is COMPLETELY off limit.

On May 27th, between ca 08:00 and 12:00, there will be some work done to complement the evacuation alarms in some of the labs where it has been too difficult to hear. As a result of this, some audible alarms will be triggered for short periods during the morning and the delta repeaters throughout the building are likely to alarm from time to time.

On May 19th, the quarterly test and maintenance on the sprinkler system in Neo will take place. The work is expected to be done by lunchtime (~12) and we don't expect the audible alarm to be triggered.

On May 4th, the quarterly test and maintenance on the fire detection and alarm system in Neo will take place. The work is expected to be ongoing between 07:00 - 11:00 and the alarm WILL sound occasionally.

The bike storage in the Novum garage is currently unavailable, since it is being moved to next to the D-elevator,

The blasting at Hälsovägen in Flemingsberg will start again.The first blast will occur on Wednesday week 18, i.e. the 5th of May 2021.

As part of the safety measures for entering Neo, from 2021-03-15 and on-wards, the elevators will require the use of a KI card.
This means that when you enter an elevator in Neo you will have to use your card on the card reader inside before pressing the buttons.

On Tuesday February 23rd from approx. 17 to 18; there will be a disruption in the remote cooling ("fjärrkyla") in the Flemingsberg area.

The regular quarterly test of the alarm system in Neo will take place between 07 and 11 on February 15th.

On Thursday and Friday, 14th and 15th of January, there will be work done on the ventilation in Neo.
