Challenges in the development and testing of the technical environments require the KI RIMS project to have more time to work. This means that the publication of the new profile pages on ki.se is postponed from November 9 to the evening of December 14.

During the fall, KI RIMS will gradually open up for usage. In the first step, you will be able to log in with your KI-id and view the aggregated information available about you and your research, as well as edit and add information. In the next step, new profile pages are released on ki.se, utilizing the information stored in KI RIMS.

The project Systems support for research information continues the implementation of KI RIMS and will during the summer focus on further technical development and designing user support.

KI RIMS is a system that collects data and information from several different systems used within KI. When KI RIMS is up and running, it will be easier for KI's researchers to maintain their CV and Qualifications portfolio, something that has been requested by many.

Throughout 2023, a project is underway to launch KI RIMS, our new system for managing our research information. It will make managing information about both individuals and different groups easier, and it will give researchers the opportunity to make information about their own research more visible than today.

The planned procurement process of a Research Information Management System (RIMS) is continuing. The project group has compiled KI’s needs and a requirements and is now in the process of requesting tenders from potential suppliers. The system will create a cohesive support to improve the availability, findability, and management of KI's research information for both internal and external stakeholders. The procurement is expected to be completed in early May 2022

Researchers and other employees, as well as external users, need to access information about ongoing and completed research at KI more easily. Improved visibility and availability of research information is included in Strategy 2030. The Steering Group for Information Management at KI has now decided to procure a Research Information Management System (RIMS).

A project is now underway to improve search possibilities and presentation of research information within the framework of KI’s Information Management Programme and Strategy 2030.  

Karolinska Institutet's information management strategy was developed in Spring 2019 and is part of Strategy 2030. The aim is to create concrete, common and established ways forward for the management of information and data at Karolinska Institutet.
