Evangelia Daskalakis and Hongyan Xia represent MBB for Saco-S
Since January 1, 2020, Evangelia Daskalakis and Hongyan Xia are the local representatives for MBB and will take part in MBB’s executive council as well as the department council meetings.
“I joined KI in March 2017 as a postdoctoral researcher within the area of metabolomics. I am very passionate about our working environment and learning how to create a place that is suitable and reflective of the staff that are inhabiting it. My time as vice-chair at the KI Postdoc Association gave me the opportunity to engage with a variety of junior researchers. Now I will be focused on all matters of the workplace (conflicts, recruitment, contracts etc..) from junior to senior level that will give me a better understanding of their different needs”, says Evangelina Daskalakis, postdoc in Craig Wheelock’s group.
“I work at the virus core facility and have extensive experience in research activities and project management. By being aware of how working environment affects employees' performance and productivity as well as physical and emotional health, I will contribute to a positive and open work environment for employees”, says Hongyan Xia, research engineer in the Virus Core Facility.
Employees at MBB are welcome to contact either Evangelia or Hongyan with any work-related questions.
