My Care Pathways wins EU innovation prize
[NEWS 11 June 2013] The My Care Pathways project has won the European Prize for Innovation in Public Administration in the "Citizens" category. My Care Pathways contains both the My Care Pathways online service and a toolbox for innovation (sdk.minavardkontakter.se).
The online service allows patients to keep track on previous and ongoing healthcare events, such as doctor's appointments and referrals, and provides them with a communication channel based on pre-defined digital forms for health-related data entry together with bookings or appointments that can be sent quickly and easily to the right caregiver at the right time.
In the autumn of 2013, My Care Pathways will be incorporated into the existing online service, My Care Contacts. The EU prize of 100,000 euro will be used to further develop online services for children with cystic fibrosis and to make My Care Pathways accessible in languages other than Swedish.
The My Care Pathways project was developed by Karolinska Institutet, the Stockholm County Council, the Västra Götaland and Skåne regional councils, patient organisations and IT companies, and is financed by VINNOVA (The Swedish governmental agency for innovation systems).
