MTC Honorary Doctor and Foreign Adjunct Professor Oliver Sacks Dies aged 82
English neurologist and author Oliver Sacks died in New York on 30 August after a long battle with cancer. Sacks was an Honorary Doctor and Foreign Adjunct Professor at MTC, perhaps best known at the department for his “What is Life” Seminars organised by Ingemar Ernberg.
Professor Georg Klein describes him as “a unique scientist, an outstanding writer, a medical doctor thoroughly committed to his patients, and a warm human being”.
