Starting the 1st May 2023, Medical Inflammation Research is a partner in a 2 years’ project titled Faster diagnosis and accurate prognosis for rheumatoid arthritis, which is conducted in collaboration with Region Västra Götaland and Vacara AB.

The project aims at developing and testing two diagnostic test prototypes and verifying their applicability for clinical use for faster diagnosis and correct prognosis for rheumatoid arthritis patients. During the project, system components, processes and device prototype will be validated and demonstrated in the end user environment. Medical Inflammation Research represents the innovator, and contributes with scientific knowledge for the development of the test for rheumatoid arthritis. Research to discover new areas of use is conducted in parallel.

The project is supported by the program for Collaborative projects for better health by VinnovaMedtech4Health and Swelife and the work is conducted within the Strategic innovation program Swelife and Medtech4Health, a joint effort by Vinnova, Formas and The Swedish Energy Agency.
