Mats Wahlgren awarded the HA Eriksson Prize from the Royal Swedish Academy 2017

Mats Wahlgren has been awarded the Hilda and Alfred Erikssons prize by the Swedish Academy of Sciences (Kungliga Vetenskapsakademien). The award, which includes the sum of 100 00 SEK, has been given for "Increasing our awareness of the parasite Plasmodium falciparum at a molecular level and for identifying factors that contribute to the development of more serious forms of Malaria in individuals - discoveries which form the basis for completely new treatment strategies."
