KI Science Park in focus for EU-journalists
Karolinska Institutet Science Park and its wellknown dynamic concept is high on the agenda when The Swedish Government Offices offers a presstrip for international journalists in connection with the Swedish EU chairmanship, starting on July 1.
On July 2 around 60 journalists from 30 countries, all based in Brussels, are invited to visit the premises of KI Science Park.
- It has become a tradition for the host countries within EU to show a spectrum of successful enterprises, mainly those which are linked to the most important issues for the Swedish Government, says Minna Frydén Bonnier at the Prime Ministers Office, who is in charge of the press programme.
- Sweden has a frontline position in Biotech and research so a visit to the KI Science Park was an easy choice for this press trip, she adds.
Märit Johansson, CEO of KI Science Park, will present the activities in the park together with scientists and business developers.
- We are flattered and very proud over this opportunity to introduce the research park and our concept to the international press, she says. This will be a "From Brains to Business"-day on many levels.
The journalists are also welcome to visit Actar, the small scale screening company with a central position in the unique innovationsystem developed by Karolinska Institutet.
During the press trip there will be many other activities with focus on Swedish fashion, design, computer games and environmental technology.
