KI ranked among world's top 20 medical universities
[NEWS 27 October 2011] Karolinska Institutet came in 20th in the world and fifth in Europe in Times Higher Education's latest rankings of clinical, pre-clinical and health universities.
The list is topped by Oxford, Harvard and Imperial College, while Karolinska Institutet is the highest-ranked non-Anglo-Saxon university.
"I'm delighted by Karolinska Institutet's consistently strong performance when the world's universities are ranked, which is a sign that we are delivering high international standards," says KI's president Harriet Wallberg-Henriksson.
When Times Higher Education published its overall university rankings for all subjects at the beginning of October, Karolinska Institutet climbed to 32nd position from 43rd last year.
