KI moves up in new ranking from QS
In the 2014 QS World University Rankings, KI has risen from number ten to number eight in the world and number three in Europe in the faculty area of “Life Sciences and Medicine”. The three top places were occupied by Harvard University, the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge.
In the subject of “Medicine”, KI is number 16 in the world and number five in Europe. In “Pharmacy and Pharmacology”, KI is the seventh best institution in the world and the sixth in Europe. The QS subject rankings were published last spring.
QS does not feature Karolinska Institutet in its overall university ranking, which only includes multi-faculty universities.
