Karolinska Institutet's ethics prize awarded to Annika Tibell

Annika Tibell, associate professor at Karolinska Institutet, has been awarded the prize for her unambiguous and explicit ethical approach and commitment to issues concerning organ donations and transplantations, as manifest in everything from her dealings with patients and relatives to her international activity. An example of this commitment is the work she has done protecting the integrity of private donors.

Annika Tibell is the head of Karolinska University Hospitals transplant surgery clinic and chairperson of the Transplantation Society's ethics committee.
