Juan Jesús Carrero receives international award

Juan Jesús Carrero, Associate Professor in Renal Medicine at the Center for Molecular Medicine at Karolinska Institutet, will be honored with the Joel D. Kopple Award. This annual award founded by the National Kidney Foundation is honoring an individual who has made significant contributions to the field of renal nutrition.

– To receive this award is both an honor and a privilege. It truly represents an incentive and an encouragement to continue devoting my efforts to renal nutrition, research and education, says Juan Jesús Carrero in a press release from the National Kidney Foundation.

In his research, Juan Jesús Carrero focuses on how a healthy diet and lifestyle can be implemented as both preventive and therapeutic treatments in chronic kidney disease management.

The Joel D. Kopple Award will be distributed by in the end of April in Las Vegas, US.
