Jette Möller – new research group leader at GPH
We are happy to announce that Jette Möller has taken on the role as research group leader for Epidemiology and Public Health Intervention Research (EPHIR).
What does your Research Group focus on?
“The research in EPHIR aims at conducting research within the area of public health epidemiology, and especially applied to the evaluation of public health interventions. Research projects encompass descriptive, analytical as well as experimental studies in both community and institutional settings, with particular focus on social, behavioral and lifestyle factors of importance for health during the whole life span”, says Jette Möller.
What are you looking forward to the most?
“I am looking forward to following the progress of ongoing projects and to develop new research projects together with the members in our group. One thing that notably warm my heart, is to see our PhD students increase their skills and confidence on their journey of becoming independent researchers.”
What do you think is the greatest challenge facing EPHIR?
“Public health interventions aimed at disease prevention and health promotion are typically complex (and expensive) and the methodological challenges in the evaluation thereof are manyfold. To retain and increase the critical mass of researchers that want to advance the field is a challenge for the future.”
