Invitation for Swedish research delegation to India with a focus on life sciences

The Indian Embassy in Sweden is delighted to announce the registration for Swedish research delegation to India with a focus on life sciences is now open! The visit is planned from 11 to 13 March 2024 and further details about the registration and the delegation are below and on the attached invite.

India is a key partner for Sweden and there are mutual benefits for both countries from close cooperation among universities in all aspects of higher education, research and innovation (R&I). Since 2018, Sweden and India through the Joint Innovation Partnership for a sustainable future have funded more than 50 projects and shown a steady increase in the number of collaborative activities. The internationalisation push under India’s new National Education Policy (NEP) and National Research Foundation (NRF) has opened for new possibilities for collaboration with Swedish universities. The Office of Science and Innovation (OSI) at the Embassy of Sweden in India is pleased to invite expression of interest from universities focusing on areas such as cancer, global health neurosciences and/or regenerative medicines on a two-city (Delhi and Bengaluru) visit from 11 to 13 March 2024. This visit is part of a series of research delegations visiting leading research institutes and eco-systems in India. The delegation facilitated by OSI follows on the recent successful delivery of a STEM oriented visit from over 15 Swedish universities to India in November 2023.
