Get to know MedH at the Department's Day!
On Thursday, 12 February at 14:00 to 17:30 in lecture hall M41, it's time for the Department's Day at MedH. It will be an afternoon with the theme “who are we, where are we now, and where are we heading?”
The program, which will be in English, is representative for the entire department. Jan Bolinder, Head of the department, opens the day and after him all the seven heads of units will give 15-minutes-talks about each unit and its visions. The directors of doctoral education and undergraduate education will also give speeches. And of course, there will be both coffee and a finishing buffet with mingle.
- The idea is that the Department's Day will become an annual day, says Elisabeth Henriksson, who is chairman of MedH's working environment group together with Mari Gilljam.
The initiative for the Department's Day came from the chairmen of the Work environment group.
- Most departments at KI have a Department's Day, and they have good experiences of it. So we figured we also want to try it, and the management thought it was a good idea, says Elisabeth.
Since MedH is a clinical department where employees are scattered - both in the hospital and at Novum - it is especially important to arrange common meeting places, according to Elisabeth. She hopes that the Department's Day will become such a meeting place that enhances the affinity of the Department.
- It is a good opportunity to get to know our department and to meet co-workers. So come and listen and mingle on February 12, says Elisabeth Henriksson.
