Free transportation service for scientific samples

Karolinska Institutet has procured a shuttle car for transport of samples and dangerous goods between Solna and Huddinge. The transport is free of charge for KI staff and students and may be used starting Monday May 18th, 2015.

To simplify for KI’s coworkers to transport samples according to the regulations, KI has procured a shuttle car that once daily will drive Solna – Huddinge – Solna. The transport is free of charge for KI coworkers and students. You have the choice to either leave the sample to the driver or one passenger seat is available.

As from Monday May 18 the shuttle car may be used for transport of samples and dangerous goods between Solna and Huddinge.

This service will be evaluated after 6 months, for a possible prolongation, wherefore we are hoping that as many as possible will use the service.

Dangerous good may not be transported on the computer bus
The commuter bus company does not have permission to transport samples and other goods that are classified as dangerous goods on the commuter bus between Solna and Huddinge. Transporting dangerous goods by road is regulated by ADR, a European treaty that governs transport of hazardous materials.
