First dental technician to become a doctor
Anna Persson at Karolinska Institutet's department for odontology is the first dental technician in Sweden to present a doctoral thesis.
Her thesis shows, among other things, that it is possible to reconstruct a damaged tooth with the help of an optical scanner, which makes a digitalized impression of the tooth without the need of a plaster replica.
