Eric Emanuelsson and Jessica Norrbom receive the FyFa pedagogical prize 2022
The Department of Physiology and Pharmacology (FyFa) awards two pedagogical prizes annually, one for junior teachers and one for senior teachers. The pedagogical prize 2022 were awarded Eric Emanuelsson (junior prize) and Jessica Norrbom (senior prize) during FyFa Christmas mingle on 20th December 2022.
Nominations for FyFa pedagogical prize are made by educational administrators and course supervisors/moment manage as well as students in connection with course evaluation Decisions are then made by Director of Education and Head of Department.
A diploma with justification and a prize of SEK 10,000 was awarded to both recipients.
FyFa pedagogical prize for senior teachers
Assistant senior lecturer Jessica Norrbom at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology receives the pedagogical prize 2022 for senior teachers. Jessica teaches physiology at several of Karolinska Institutet's programmes and courses.
Justification: Jessica Norrbom has always been extremely committed to teaching at FyFa, both as course manager and as a teacher on a large number of courses. With her solution-focused attitude and positive energy, she has also played a key role in, and inspired her colleagues to develop and get FyFa's new "Master's Program in Translational Physiology and Pharmacology" started. Without her hard work, there would have been no program.
"It means a lot and it feels motivating that my efforts within teaching and education is valued at the department", says Jessica Norrman.
FyFa pedagogical prize for junior teachers
PhD student Eric Emanuelsson at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology receives the pedagogical prize 2022 for junior teachers.
Justification: Eric Emanuelsson receives FyFa's pedagogical prize for PhD students or Postdocs in 2022 for his much appreciated commitment to teaching in the subject of physiology. He inspires great trust among his colleagues at FyFa by always delivering teaching of high pedagogical quality.
"I am very proud to receive the Fyfa pedagogical prize. I have been teaching quite a lot during my doctoral studies so I am happy that my work is appreciated by the department", says Eric Emanuelsson.
