Do you want to be part of a reference group for KI's language policy?

KI is working on developing a university wide language policy and we are looking for people who want to be part of a reference group.

As a reference person, you will be able to give feedback on the proposed language policy. Do you want to contribute? Your opinion is valuable to us. We need you for approximately two hours on two occasions after the summer.

Contact Emma Hägg via email no later than 22 June, 2023. You do not commit to anything until you receive the invitation with date and time.

If you want to follow the work on the language policy, more information can be found on our project page.

Why KI needs a language policy:

  • According to the Language Act, Swedish authorities must use cultivated, simple and comprehensible language.
  • The Swedish language is the official language, at the same time it should be taken into account that KI is multicultural and international.
  • How we are perceived, communicate and strategically use language to achieve our goals are important for KI as university
  • A coordinated and conscious use of language at KI can contribute to us living up to the legislation and demonstrate quality and inclusion.
