Dissertation 13 June, 2016: Eva Herweijer
On June 13, Eva Herweijer will defend her thesis "Register-based evaluation of HPV vaccination programs". Her opponent is Associate Professor Julia Brotherton from the Victorian Cytology Service at the School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne, and her supervisors are Lisen Arnheim-Dahlström, Pär Sparén, Alex Ploner and Karin Sundström.
Eva's four studies examined the population-level effect of human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination on incidence of HPV-related disease outcomes, and participation to cervical screening following vaccination. The results of these studies contribute to the existing evidence on the population level effect of HPV vaccination and the disease monitoring of HPV related disease in an era where opportunistic HPV vaccination was available.
