Degree papers from KI highly rated in international competition
The Undergraduate Awards (UA) is an annual international programme that selects the best degree papers in the natural sciences, humanities, business and art.
This year, six students of medicine, biomedicine and biomedical laboratory science at Karolinska Institutet have qualified as Highly Commended Entrants, which means that their papers are in the top ten per cent of their category.
The students have now been invited to a UA congress in Dublin, Ireland.
The competition was tough: 5,514 entries from students at 244 universities in 121 countries, all written and English and graded A in accordance with the criteria. Since KI has no such grading system, the study programmes selected their own papers; a total of seventeen were submitted by KI for assessment.
Highly Commended Entrants from KI, 2016:
Vidar Elsin, biomedicine
Benjamin Heller Sahlgren, biomedicine
Anna Arbman, biomedical laboratory science
Linda Storbjörk, biomedical laboratory science
Christine Lageborn, medicine
Sara Meziani, medicine
