Forskningsanslag – Promobilia
Stiftelsen utlyser projektanslag för forskning och utveckling med syfte att främja ett aktivt och självständigt liv hos personer som lever med funktionsnedsättningar. Stiftelsen ändamål är att stötta utveckling och spridning av tekniska hjälpmedel, särskilt för ökad rörlighet, samt vetenskaplig forskning för att skapa nya hjälpmedel och återskapa rörelseförmåga och kommunikationsmöjligheter för funktionsnedsatta. Projektanslag ges till 1-, 2- och 3-åriga projekt. Du kan söka 500 000 kr/år i upp till tre år.

Forskningsanslag - Förbundet Blödarsjuka i Sverige Aroseniusfonden
Fonden har som primärt mål att stödja vetenskaplig forskning av hög kvalitet som syftar till att lindra eller bota blödarsjuka. De strävar efter att göra en verklig skillnad och stödjer även forskning inom flera viktiga områden, så som patientnära forskning som har direkt relevans och påverkan på patienter med blödarsjuka, och forskning för Implementering i Vården som förväntas kunna implementeras och gynna vården av personer med blödarsjuka. Forskare specialiserade som är verksamma inom medicinsk forskning eller vårdvetenskap kan söka. Fonden prioriterar forskning som bedrivs av unga talanger i sin tidiga karriär. Anslaget av max 200 000 kr kan användas till driftskostnader eller lön. Kan sökas av forskare alternativt forskargrupper.

Forskningsanslag - Skandinaviska Forskningsstiftelsen för Åderbråck och andra Vensjukdomar
Stiftelsen har till ändamål att främja vetenskaplig forskning och utveckling inom sjukdomar hos människan på grund av sviktande venfunktion, särskilt forsknings- och utvecklingsarbete inom sjukdomar i nedre extremiteterna och som bedrivs med anknytning till universitet belägna i Skandinavien. Patientnära klinisk forskning kommer att premieras. Årets forskningsanslag uppgår till totalt 300 000 SEK som kan ansökas helt eller i delar.

Research grants - Erling-Persson Foundation
Grants are awarded primarily for research or educational projects in medicine, as well as in areas of interest associated with or encompassing the subject of entrepreneurship. Priority is given to application-oriented research. Grants may be awarded for clearly identifiable objectives with the focus on the vulnerable situation of children. The Foundation strongly favors projects of an interdisciplinary nature, and does not support research that is exclusively basic. There are no set limits on the sum of money awarded. Projects should normally have a duration between 2 and 5 years and should be clearly defined (not research programmes, not contribution to general running costs). The main applicant should be senior in his/her organisation. Decisions are made on the basis of the project’s financial plan.

Forskningssamarbetet Sydkorea - Sverige 2024 - Stiftelsen för Strategisk Forskning (SSF) och National Research Foundation of the Republic of Korea (NRF)
Programmet är ett samarbete mellan NRF och SSF. Organisationerna satsar tillsammans nära 100 miljoner kronor och kommer att välja ut ett tiotal projekt. Forskningen ska vara inom naturvetenskap, teknik eller medicin och ska bidra till utveckling inom något av områdena: Halvledare, displayer, laddningsbara batterier, vätgasteknik, smarta transporter, nästa generations kärnkraft, bioteknik, flygteknik, marinteknik, cybersäkerhet, AI, robotik eller kommunikationsteknik. Ansökan ska ha en koreansk och en svensk projektledare. En ansökan med lika innehåll ska samtidigt lämnas in till NRF från den koreanska projektledaren och till SSF från den svenska projektledaren.

Non-clinical research fellowships - The Motor Neurone Disease Association
The Motor Neurone Disease Association invites applications for its non-clinical research fellowships. These support researchers with relevant experience and demonstrated expertise and ability to apply for funding in their own name for a single project in biomedical research on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The fellowships are awarded at two levels:
- junior non-clinical fellowships are awarded to individuals who will have two to six years of postdoctoral experience at the time of commencement of the grant; the application should be for a term of between 24 and 36 months; the maximum funding for a junior fellowship based outside London will be £95,000 per year, with an overall maximum of £285,000 for a three year award; the maximum funding for a junior fellowship based within London will be £100,000 per year, with an overall maximum of £300,000 for a three year award;
- senior non-clinical fellowships are awarded to individuals who will have four to 10 years of postdoctoral experience at the time of commencement of the grant; application should be for a term of between 36 and 48 months; the maximum funding for a senior fellowship based outside London will be £115,000 per year, with an overall maximum of £460,000 for a four year award; the maximum funding for a senior fellowship based within London will be £120,000 per year, with an overall maximum of £480,000 for a four year award.
Eligibility: Scientists of any nationality from relevant disciplines except those with a medical qualification may apply. The award may only be held at a university or other bona-fide research institute in the UK and Ireland. The prospective fellow may be based elsewhere at the time of application. The head of laboratory at the institution must be named co-applicant and it is recommended that a second co-applicant is named as sponsor who will act as a mentor.

ECCO global grant – The European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO)
The European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO) offers the new ECCO Global Grant to expand and strengthen the global network of ECCO through research partnerships between centres from ECCO Member Countries and non-ECCO Member low income or lower-middle income countries.
ECCO Global Grants seek to extend the outreach and global perspective of IBD research and may focus on aspects of IBD pathogenesis (e.g. environmental impact, genetics), epidemiology and/or clinical care, among others.
Applications must be multicentre and address knowledge gaps and/or unmet needs relevant to low and lower-middle income countries and feature strong contributions from these countries.
Budget: A total of EUR 300,000 for 24 months will be awarded for one ECCO Global Grant. It is intended for direct project costs incurred, most notably salary support, equipment, research consumables and project travel. It is not intended for institutional overheads.

These grants support research that addresses knowledge gaps in the field of leukodystrophies. Preference is given to clinical trials and clinical trial readiness projects.

Research fellowships - European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO)
These support high-quality research projects in either translational or clinical research. Fellowships may be in the following areas:
- translational - aiming to provide training in translational cancer research in European centres and improve career development through collaboration;
- clinical - aiming to provide training in clinical research in European cancer centres, as well as to support the development of clinical oncology research projects.
Budget: 101,000EUR. The fellow will receive 50,000€ for a one-year project. The host institutes will receive 1,000€ to cover administration costs. Second-year prolongation is available upon request and subsequent approval by the Leadership Development Committee.

The FY24 Defense Appropriations Act is anticipated to provide funding for the TBIPHRP to support research into the treatment, prevention, and detection of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and to improve psychological health. Abstract: This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites U24 Cooperative Agreement applications that propose to establish a national Open Measurement Coordinating Network for Non-Pharmacological Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and AD-Related Dementias (ADRD) Primary Prevention Trials. The Network will serve as a centralized hub for developing, validating, standardizing, and disseminating measures and measurement methods for AD/ADRD primary prevention trials. It will incorporate measures and measurement methods across neuropsychological, biomarker, and functional domains to meet the goal of primary prevention of AD/ADRD centered around brain health equity. Brain health equity is the fair distribution of brain health determinants, outcomes, and resources within and between segments of the population, regardless of social standing. Measures and measurement methods of interest will test outcomes and mechanisms of action (e.g., cognitive, behavioral, structural/social, computational, biological) that are customized for individuals with different needs and that are linked to real-world function. Resources developed through this initiative, including measurement instruments, methods, algorithms, code, documentation, and normative data, are intended to enable future measures and measurement-methods-development projects that support AD/ADRD primary prevention research needs.
The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is particularly interested in proposals that aim to advance equity for populations disproportionately impacted by AD/ADRD.

This preannouncement provides potential applicants additional time to identify collaborators; obtain patient and stakeholder input on potential studies; and develop responsive, high-quality proposals. Applications addressing cross-cutting issues that include more than one rare disease diagnosis are encouraged, but studies focusing on a single rare disease are also acceptable.

We are very interested in grant proposals from multidisciplinary groups comprised of basic scientists, clinicians, and experts across relevant cutting-edge disciplines. Proposals that cover promising and potentially transferable strategies and/or technologies, which have been applied successfully to other areas of cancer research, are highly encouraged and will be evaluated based on their level of applicability to NETs.
