Contribute to the development of core facilities

To develop and quality-assure core facilities available at Karolinska Institutet, the Infrastructure Council has decided to conduct two user surveys in the autumn of 2021. Now is your chance as a researcher to make your voice heard.

Karolinska Institutet's vision – to drive development of knowledge about life and work for better health for all – requires an increasing use of cutting-edge technology and functional research infrastructure where core facilities are an important part. To continuously develop core facilities at KI and aim for highest quality and relevance for researchers at KI and Region Stockholm, KI’s Infrastructure Council has now decided the following:

  • To conduct a targeted survey to users of core facilities with support from KI and Region Stockholm. The survey is aimed at users of the core facilities during the period 2019-2020, and users will be identified from applications for funding in the core-facility call in spring 2021.
  • There will also be an open survey in November 2021, which all researchers within KI and Region Stockholm can respond to. More information about this survey will be published later this autumn.

Anders Gustafsson, Vice president and chair of KI's Infrastructure Council, hopes for a high response rate:

"I am urging everyone affected by the topic of these surveys to take the chance to influence how KI works to further develop our core facilities, for the benefit of both users and those who work in the core facilities," he says.
