CfGM & the gender dimension in medical curricula T3 and T6

The KI Centre or Gender Medicine (CfGM) was invited to lecture medical students in the 3rd and 6th semester on sex and gender analysis in health care.

The CfGM took this opportunity to implement an innovative pedagogical approach based in collaborative lectures — with special guests — and mixing it with short brainstorm and discussion exercises.

The T3 students had the opportunity to hear lectures from Karolina Kublickiene, MD Head of the CfGM, Kristina Mickeviciute, EMSA European Medical Students Association and Pär Höglund, MD, PhD. Postdoc researcher and practicing physician in Child Psychiatry and elected second vice chairperson for the Junior Doctors Association (10.000 members).

T6 students, besides having a lecture from Dr. Karolina Kublickiene, had also the opportunity to apply their knowledge using innovative means like the Gender Lens tool.
