Call for StratNeuro Executive Board nominations

The Strategic Research Area Neuroscience, StratNeuro, calls on the KI neuroscience community for nominations to replace three members of its executive board, who have left the board as they have assumed new positions.

StratNeuro is looking for PI’s with a strong neuroscience research background and motivated to be engaged in the activities and strategic directions of this Strategic Research Area.

About the position

Members of the StratNeuro board attend monthly meetings, participate in the planning and decisions concerning the budget, grant calls, infrastructure support and the planning of activities such as our yearly retreat.

The mandate is for 3 years, after which a new election process will take place.

Criteria for nominations

  • Nominees must be KI group leaders with a permanent position
  • Strong research background in neuroscience and leadership experience

Nomination

Anyone in the Neuroscience community at KI can nominate anonymously. We also accept self-nominations.

Election process

The board receives the nominations. A short-list of the nominees will be invited by the StratNeuro board to send confirmation that they accept the nomination, together with a two-page CV and a one-page document, including the following information:

  • Research output  
  • Leadership experience
  • Visions for StratNeuro

The board will then present the names of willing nominees to the Committee for Research for a final decision and announcement of the persons who will be appointed.

Nominations (including self-nominations) may be submitted between 28 September to 14 October 2020
