Call for research residency programme ("forskar-ST-medel")
A research residency (forskar-ST) provides financial support for a period of research during a clinical residency, and can be applied for by doctoral students at KI on a residency programme within Region Stockholm.
Applicants for a research residency must:
- be employed as a resident physician (as defined on their employment contract) by Region Stockholm or at a unit that has an agreement with the council at the time of application
- have successfully completed a maximum of 42 residency months (including all completed residencies),
- be a registered doctoral student yet to complete their half-time review at the time of application.
A research residency is worth SEK 400,000 a year for two years with the option of a two-year extension and is to be used as salary during the research period. The aim is to enable students to combine their residency with research on a 50% basis.
Deadline for applications: 16 March 2023 at 4 p.m.
