President Ole Petter Ottersen, president Karolinska Institutet will present the concept of sustainable health at the regional meeting of World health summit in Uganda on 28th of June 2021.

The World Health Summit (https://www.worldhealthsummit.org/) is the annual conference of the academies. The World Health Summit aims to improve health all over the planet, catalysing that process through collaboration and open dialogue, and steering tomorrow’s agenda to improve research, education, healthcare, and policy outcomes. It brings together researchers, physicians, key government officials, and representatives from industry as well as from NGOs and healthcare systems all over the world to address the most pressing issues facing every facet of healthcare and medicine in the upcoming decade and beyond.

In the regional meeting in Uganda, Ole  Petter Ottersen, will discuss how the concept of sustainable health can be used to tackle complex health challenges of today and tomorrow, specifically in Africa and explicitly within the framework of the SDGs. The meeting will take place online.
