In an increasingly diverse and interconnected world, cultural humility is essential for fostering inclusive learning environments and preparing students for their professional lives. This interactive workshop is designed for teachers and supervisors seeking to integrate aspects related to cultural awareness into their teaching practice and content at the session, course and program level.
Participants will explore the foundational principles of cultural humility, self-reflection, lifelong learning, recognition of power imbalances, and institutional accountability and examine how these can be meaningfully embedded across the curriculum.
By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with actionable tools and a framework for curriculum transformation that supports culturally humble pedagogy and enhances student engagement across diverse populations. This workshop might be especially useful and relevant to those engaged in this year’s reporting to the Committee for Education, which focuses on intercultural competence and communication.
