Explore how human health and the health of the planet are connected – meet researchers and innovators, listen to expert talks, and experience interactive exhibitions.

Welcome to an evening co-organised by Tekniska, WWF and the University Alliance Stockholm Trio - Karolinska Institutet, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Stockholm University, where we dive into the connections between human and planetary health.

Explore interactive exhibitions, attend an expert panel on sustainable food, and meet researchers, students, and innovators who are shaping a more sustainable world.

17:00 | Event opens

17:30 | Meet a Glaciologist Erik Huss 
Insights from the field: what glaciers reveal about climate and health.

18:00–18:45 | Panel discussion: The power is on your plate 
How can we transform the way we produce, consume and think about food to support both planetary and human health? Moderator: Maria Borelius, author, science journalist, and entrepreneur.

Panel participants:

  • Gunhild Stordalen – Physician, environmental advocate and founder of the EAT Foundation in Norway that aims to reform the global food system to provide healthy and sustainable diets for a growing population.
  • Mark Lawrence – Professor of Healthy and Sustainable Food Systems at Deakin University, Australia. Professor Lawrence has substantial national and international experience of translating evidence from his research into food policy and regulation actions.
  • Maria Wolrath Söderberg – Associate Professor of rhetoric at Södertörn University, Stockholm. Well known for her research on how we can bridge the gap between climate change awareness and climate action.
  • Paul Behrens – Associate Professor of environmental change at Leiden University, Netherlands. Behrens’ research explores how we can build a healthier and happier world by transforming energy, food and economic systems. He is the author of The Best of Times, the Worst of Times, a book exploring hopeful and dystopian futures shaped by our environmental choices.

19:00 | After the panel discussion, Anna Wahlberg, food expert at WWF, will introduce WWF's "One Planet Plate", which is designed to help you choose healthy, sustainable ingredients and inspire the preparation of meals that contribute to increased biodiversity and the protection of the climate.

19:20–20:45 | Four Futures + Futures Workshop 
Screening is followed by a participatory workshop led by SALLY, the Nordic future lab at EY.
