Other Swedish language courses autumn 2024
Doctoral students and postdocs at Karolinska Institutet (KI) are offered one complimentary Swedish sub course. Other participants pay according to the framework agreement. Courses start on September 10, 2024. Courses are scheduled from 17.30 to 19.00 or from 19.15 to 20.45. Levels A1, A2 and B1 are available. They occur once a week for 10 weeks or twice a week for 5 weeks.
The course fee for other participants is 1 490 SEK excl. VAT per course if paid by KI department (the ZZ code needed). Alternatively, individual participants pay 1 863 SEK incl. VAT.

Please note that the government inquiry has proposed that adults seeking permanent residency from 2027 will have to pass two tests, one on the Swedish language and the other on Swedish society. The proposal states that applicants would be expected to have a level of Swedish equivalent to A2 on the CEFR, equivalent to SFI level C.
Requirements for knowledge of Swedish and social studies for Swedish citizenship are proposed to enter into force on 1 January 2025.
