According to the concept of One Health Theory of Change, we understand that health is an integrated, unified approach designed to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals and ecosystems.
It mobilizes multiple sectors, disciplines, and communities across all levels of society to work together to promote well-being and address threats to health and ecosystems, while addressing the overall need for clean water, energy and air, safe and nutritious food, taking action to address climate change and contribute to sustainable development.
Professor Yueqin Huang, MD, PhD, is psychiatric epidemiologist and director of the Division of Social Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine in Institute of Mental Health/Sixth Hospital of Peking University for teaching and research.
Her concurrent posts include president of Chinese Mental Health Journal, vice-president of China Disabled Persons’ Federation, and vice president of China Association of Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons. She is principal investigator of a series of research projects and international collaborations including China Mental Health Survey, World Mental Health Survey and 10/66 International Dementia Collaborative Study.
