The Ossenkoppele lab is at the cutting edge of neuroimaging, fluid biomarkers, and cognition, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease. Rik Ossenkoppele work aims to enhance diagnostic and prognostic methods in the near term, with the ultimate ambition of finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.

Rik Ossenkoppele is a distinguished Associate Professor in Translational Neuroscience and Principal Investigator at both the Alzheimercenter Amsterdam of the Amsterdam UMC in the Netherlands and Lund University in Sweden. He received several prestigious prices (e.g., European Grand Prix for Research on the Foundation of Alzheimer’s Disease, the Young Investigator Research Award from Alzheimer Nederland, and the Queen Silvia Research Prize) and research grant (e.g., ERC starting grant and various dementia research grants). He is the Chair of the Atypical Alzheimer’s Disease Professional Interest Area of the Alzheimer’s Association.

 The lecture will be followed by a roundtable session for Early Career Researchers (e.g. PhD students, postdocs, assistant professors) interested in an exclusive opportunity to engage in discussions regarding career advice with Dr Ossenkoppele at 13:30.
