Lectures and seminars Q&A - on the publishing process and becoming/being an editor
Welcome to a Q&A session on the publishing process and becoming/being an editor that is open to all with Chiara Anania from Nature Genetics and Alexandra Despang from Nature Biotechnology.
Chiara Anania and Alexandra Despang are coming to visit Karolinska Insitutet, Solna 26-27th May. They are particularly interested in visiting young labs, so please reach out if you are interested in meeting them.
Guests
Chiara Anania, Associate Editor in Nature Genetics, obtained her Ph.D. at the Berlin Institute for Medical Systems Biology (BIMSB) in the laboratory of Darío Lupiañez, where she studied the role of chromatin boundaries in developmental gene regulation. She joined the journal in 2023 and is based in Barcelona, Spain.
Alexanda Despang, Associate Editor in Nature Biotechnology, obtained her PhD in 2021 from the Free University and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin where she studied the influence of the 3D genome structure on developmental gene regulation. In her postdoctoral studies at the Berlin Institute of Health, Charité Berlin, she continued to work on the generation of genetic models of disease by the development of high-throughput genome engineering to elucidate pathomechanisms of rare developmental disorders.
