Lectures and seminars PHSP seminar: How to design a questionnaire with data management in mind
The Doctoral Programme in Public Health Science (PHSP) welcomes all doctoral students and researchers at KI to the the second seminar in our seminar series: Data management and survey design in quantitative research.
This second session will cover basic principles in questionnaire design with data mangement in mind and give a brief introduction to a variety of tools available to be able to write effective questions that are easy to understand and answer. The seminar will focus on what to think about before starting the quantative data collection - from designing the data collection tool to creating a database that will facilitate data analysis.
Lecturer
Marika Wenemark, PhD, Linköping University. Marika is a statistician and works with tools that will help us design survey questions that respondents can and want to answer.
She works with questionnaire design in research studies as well as evaluations by national agencies - nationally and internationally. She is currently working on projects about asking sensitive questions in web surveys and how to do cognitive interviews in sub-saharan Africa. She is the author of the book "Enkätmetodik med respondenten i fokus" (Studentlitteratur 2017).
