Shuting Xu received her PhD degree from Hanover medical school in Germany. Before, she holds a Master’s degree in Biology from University of Ulm, Germany and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Nanjing Agricultural University, China. Her PhD research mainly focused on virus-related innate immune response. Her PhD and postdoc projects have been published in various leading journals and received five different prizes in Germany and the USA, including the German AIDS prize.Post her academic career she started an adventure of freelancer as a consultant, which intended to support the international lab collaborations. Currently Shuting works as Field Application Scientist at GenScript Europe, in which role she supports the customers and the internal commercial team for technical issues.
Elaine Lima de Souza is a business-minded life science professional. In her actual position as Marketing Manager at GenScript, she aims to facilitate communication about science and technological solutions. Previously, as her first industry job, she started in a position combining many commercial roles, such as sales, BD, and marketing.Elaine has a solid scientific background with 15 international scientific publications and four outstanding scientific awards. She has worked for five years in a postdoctoral position. She worked at Erasmus University Medical Center for three years in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. For another two years, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where she held a Ph.D. in Sciences.
