Lectures and seminars Peer Dialogue: A Translational Behavioural Neuroscience Perspective on the Neuroimmunoendocrine System in Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease
Welcome to the Peer Dialogue “A Translational Behavioural Neuroscience Perspective on the Neuroimmunoendocrine System in Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease”, an educational activity organized by the Doctoral Programme Allergy, Immunology
and Inflammation (Aii)
The seminar by Prof. Lydia Gimenez-Llort will address interactions between the nervousand immune systems in the context of aging and aging-related diseases like Alzheimer'sdisease (AD), with a focus on insights obtained from translational behavioural studies. The seminar will be followed by a peer dialogue with Assoc. Prof. Per Nilsson, who hasdeveloped the APP knock-in (APP-ki) animal model of AD, and Prof. Nenad Bogdanović,MD, neuro-geriatrician and a clinical researcher. The dialogue will focus on changes in the neuroimmunoendocrine system in normal aging and in AD, highlighting insights drawnfrom experimental studies using different animal models, 3xTg-AD and APP-ki, and fromclinical research.
Registration is required.
