Welcome to participate in the virtual opening of NeurotechEU - a European University!

Karolinska Institutet is one of eight universities in NeurotechEU- The European University of Brain and Technology.
NeurotechEU is part of the European Union’s three-year pilot initiative “European Universities”. The NeurotechEU will involve all groups within KI: students on undergraduate and master level, doctoral students, teachers, researchers, administrative staff and management. Take the opportunity to be part of this grand online event open to all students and staff at KI!
The opening event will take place on the live video platform Crowdcast where you register under "Save a spot" to get access to the event. The event is free and open to everyone. The Youtube stream requires no registration.
Students will have the chance to learn about the educational opportunities this European University offers;
Academic and administrative staff will step into the future of universities, to explore joint research and innovation across institutions throughout Europe;
The public will explore life-long learning programs, career-long professionalization training and citizen science initiatives.

11.45 NeurotechEU action plan 12.15 Thomas Willis (1621-1675): 400th anniversary lecture Zoltán Molnár, MD DPhil and Professor of Developmental Neuroscience, University of Oxford Thomas Willis is best known for his description of ‘the circle of Willis’, an anastomotic circle at the base of the brain, but his work also laid the foundations of modern neuroanatomy, comparative neuroanatomy and clinical neuroscience. By combining his insightful clinical observations with his original pathological studies, his enquiring mind established links that are still astonishing 400 years on.
