This workshop addresses the unique challenges women face in transitioning from academia to professional sectors.

It covers the cultural differences between academic and industry settings, the importance of networking, and building professional connections. Participants will gain insights into global leadership and management, develop strategies for work-life balance, and overcome imposter syndrome. The workshop also addresses the need to establishing mentorship and sponsorship programs to support women’s career advancement, ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to leadership development.

 

Goals


This workshop is part of a series of two, delivered through two half-days, will provide participants with essential skills for: business, entrepreneurial endeavours, career development and leadership. By focusing on applied research, regulatory knowledge, commercialization, and specialized networking, our goal is to develop their leadership capabilities and equip attendees with the tools and confidence needed to thrive in profit-driven environments while maintaining their commitment to value-based healthcare and ethical principles.
